Summary Experience:

Mr. Hedrick has 33 years of experience in the field of Transportation Planning and Design, 29 of those years with the Ohio Department of Transportation Districts 5 and 10.  During his career he has managed a multitude of projects ranging from highway corridor studies to bridge replacements, roadway widening, new alignment projects, and interchange additions.  Mr. Hedrick was responsible for review and ODOT project management of more than 100 bridge replacement, roadway realignment and new location projects prepared by consultants during his tenure with ODOT.  He has extensive experience in the public involvement portion of the NEPA process as well as environmental document preparation.  Over his career Mr. Hedrick has been involved in the design of industrial access roads in Guernsey, Athens, and Washington County.

 

Representative past projects as a Consulting Engineer include:

BEL-149-0.00 (Washington Street Relocation) – Bellaire, OH – Assistant Project Manager for Preliminary Development Phase to develop new location for SR 149 as it enters the town to intersect with SR 7 at the Ohio River.  Project included Steps 2 through 8 of the ODOT Transportation Development Process, including environmental studies and documentation, preliminary engineering for a range of feasible alternatives, public involvement, and probable preparation of a Categorical Exclusion (CE Level 4).  The primary purpose of the project is to alleviate safety problems associated with heavy trucking in close proximity with residential housing, and potential landslide conditions.

FRA-ROBERTS ROAD- Hilliard-Rome Road to IR-270 – Project for the preparation of the CE re-evaluation for this widening and pavement reconstruction project.  Original document had to be re-evaluated due to the length of time that had passed since it's preparation and approval.  The re-evaluation resulted in a new document being prepared to update the format and account for changed field conditions.  Client: City of Columbus

CLI-380-00.32- Clinton County, OH Project Manager for preparation of roadway plans, maintenance of traffic and drainage details for the replacement of one structure over a stream.
